What setting do i need to change to get an htm file pasted in the body of an email rather then as an attachment? I use a software system that sends reports to my email. When i receive the mail the data is sent as an attachment. Other users on the same network receives the same reports but the data is pasted into the body of the mail. That tells me that it must be a setting that i need to change on my outlook. Am i correct in assuming this?

    Hi,

You can firstly test sending a html file by yourself via File > Send > Page by e-mail… with Internet Explorer. Set your e-mail address as one of the recipients. If the issue cannot be reproduced by this. You will need to monitor on the software system which sends the reports.

If the issue persists when you send the html mail by yourself, it could be caused by third party software or add-ins. You can follow the steps below to narrow down the root cause:

    1. Start Outlook in safe mode to see if the issue can be fixed:
     http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/work-with-office-safe-modes-HP010354300.aspx

    2. Disable the integration with Outlook feature of your Anti-Virus software temporarily.

    3. Perform a clean boot in Windows 7 to troubleshoot the problem refer to the steps in the following article:
