The title almost says it all. I clean installed win7 on a freshly formatted and partitioned 30gb hdd and the OS installed fine and I was able to install a wireless adapter and get online and everything was hunky dory (save my radeon graphics card that apparently doesn't have wddm drivers). I restarted the computer with the install dvd in and it booted back up a couple times. Then, I tried restarting *without* the install dvd and thats where things have gone nutty. The computer will now only boot off the dvd and consequently will only allow me to run the setup. I tried the boot repair and that didn't detect any problems. I tried running the memory test from the same menu but that also didn't work because it seems like the boot memory on the hard drive isn't being accessed. I was able to run a memory scan by pressing f8 after booting to the dvd and got the safe mode options and whatnot, but thats all still just booting from the setup.
The only thing I've noticed that looks like it could be the issue is that the harddrive is set up as driver letter "d" as opposed to the normal "c" (no pun intended).

I suppose it wouldn't hurt to actually ask the implied question too...
What might be the problem and how can I fix this issue so that I can run windows 7 normally on this computer?
