Troubleshooting WMI error on Window Server 2008 R2 (64-bit)

    Question

  • I have a Window Server 2008 R2 (64-bit) Std, that is a DFS server,
    Which I am constantly getting WMI error on. so I started to troubleshoot it.
    After downloading WMIDiag I found it is not compatible with the OS.

  • Mainly with the dfsrdiag command from PowerShell & CMD.

    I also get error when running DFSR report from DFS Management.

    the error returned is 0x80041002.

    prevously i had a issue because the:

    HP Null Management Controller & Microsoft Generic IPMI Compliant Device

    Was been recognised as Unknown Devices in Device Manager which I found out cause WMI, I have found the drivers from HP fixed this issue.
