IE Script Error on portal page in Outlook

    Question

  • I am trying to enable users to be able to add our portal to Outlook Today (using both 2003 and 2007 Outlook). After adding the URL for the portal site to Outlook Today, we get an error:

     Internet Explorer Script Error:

    Line: 99
    Char: 73
    Error: Object Expected
    Code: 0
    URL: outlook.today
    -----------------------------------------------------------

Our portal opens just fine directly in IE, but I don't know what needs to be changed to allow it directly through Outlook Today...

    Any hints?

  • Hello,

I did a test in my environment, the SharePoint Web site is rendered successfully in my Outlook 2007 client.

Please check this issue via the following two respects:

    1.       The format you use to add the URL. I use http://<Server>/<path> and it goes well. However, if I keep outlook:today? in the URL, an script error comes (not similar to yours).

    2.       Please check the SharePoint Website you use. Especially, if there is any add-ons or custom script built in it.

    Thanks.

    Best Regards,

    Lionel
