Approval workflow for calendar

    Question

  • New to SP 2010, I like to be create a very simple vacation calendar with AD builtin account and use Manager as an approval.  I was looking at the workflow but not sure how to get started.  Can someone point me to the right direction?  Thanks.

    Before starting, let's say that calendar it's a list. A list which look a liitle different at start, but is a list. So you can work and attach workflows to a calendar as you do to other standard list

    you can use the already existing "Aproval" workflow

    For this, select your calendar list, go to settings,

    pick Workflows and fill the fields

    Another way is to customize as you whish the workflow, for this you should use SHPDesigner and attach a workflow to your list
