    Hi ,

    I have exported a site http://teamsite in share point 2007 set up and try to import in 2010 site http://mysite using stsadm.The command details is given below.

    stsadm -o export -url http://teamsite -filename c:\backup\team.cab -includeusersecurity  . it has created  277 cab file . then i have copy these file to 2010 sytem and given the import command.

    stsadm-import -url http://mysite -filename d:\backup\team.cab and found the above code error. Please send the reply to my email  jitendriya.jamadar@hcl.com

    Based on my research,  out of space on a drive will result in this error. Please check if there is enough space on the drive.

     

    Furthermore, change the user TEMP and TMP to another drive with space, then test again.

  • export / import is from like to like so I presume that you can not export a v3 site and import it to v4.

    But that (update to SP 2010) is in any case a question for a SP 2010 forum not a pre-SP 2010 forum so I'm moving the thread.

  • Hi,

    OOTB you cannot export data from a SharePoint server 2007 farm to a SharePoint server 2010 farm.

    I suggest that you migrate SharePoint 2007 site into SharePoint 2010 site.

    You can use the following two methods to migrate SharePoint site from 2009 to 2010:

    • In-place upgrade
    • Database-attach

  • Fortunatly i was following the same link for migration and stuck in step 1.3(as given error code in the beginning of the post) which has been given the import command using stsadm.
