  • Hello,

I guess you mean the URL in the mail is

     http: // sitename.com/sites/Resources/sites/Resources/Writing/shared documents

    and not

     http: // sitename.com/sites/Resourcing/sites/Resources/Writing/shared documents

i.e. the relative path that is getting duplicated.

Please check if any of the following helps,

    a. If you have upgraded this site from SharePoint 2007, then check if you have completed the visual upgrade of this specific site collection, if not - please complete that and test.

    b. I don't see this happening with the latest version of the product, so please update to SP1 and Feb 2013 CU.

    c. Check if the Alternate Access Mappings are correctly configured.

  • There is no error message. I have this issue in IE and in Chrome.

However, I only have this issue in one site collection.  The Email a Link button works fine in other site collections.

  • Can you give us an example of what the link is?  I've seen a few causes for this including

    1. .net kb patches
    2. Reusable workflows on specific lists

Each has had a different format to them, so showing us how it looks may help us out.

  • Here is an example of the site url:

    http://sitename.com/sites/Resources/Writing/shared documents

This is what the url looks like after using the Email a Link button:

    http://sitename.com/sites/Resourcing/sites/Resources/Writing/shared documents

I don't think it has to do with workflows because I have the same problem on all of the sites within the site collection.

  • Hi

Have you modified AAM (alternate access mappings)?
