Calendar Overlay not working in SharePoint 2010

  • Hello Krishh,

I see that the site you have been referring to here is only accessible with HTTPS . I am assuming that browsing to the site collection root with https is working fine and only Calendar overlay is giving an error.

I have a few questions to help narrow down the issue

For testing can you add http://servername as an alternate URL in AAM and see if the issue still repro's . Also have you renamed the site where the calendar is located? Have you tried re-creating the calendar? Are both your Dev and production environments at the same build level ? Are you browsing to your dev environment with SSL as well? If you bump up the ULS logging level to Verbose do you see any error message when you reproduce the issue, may be you would want to post the same .

    Thanks ,
    Manas

  • If it helps anybody the same was happening to me at work, couldn't find url error but I tried at home and it eventually loaded the url and resolved. It was extremely slow to resolve and equally as slow when I went to save so I can only assume it was timing out at work. I have a 20mb connection at home and no other users so maybe that's why it worked there.

Sorry the detail isn't great but I'm not technically trained or qualified, I just figure things out for myself & can only relay back in plain English:)

  • I just added a slash (/) at the end of the web URL that appeared on the field and then clicked on the Resolve button. That solved the problem for me.
