announcements how to add a link ?

  • Hi All ,

    After i notice that link feature is very useful . now when i make a announcement , i like to add the link below , may i know how to do it. right now i can only place the link on the right hand side.

    for example , i have make the ammounments

    Hi all now you can view the TDS 2009 holiday Calendar very easy , just click the below link , name as TDS  2009 Calendar . and you should be able to view the calendar . In case you can not view them , pls ask KK , he know how to make it work.

    Just click this link to view the TDS canlendar for 2009.
     
    Hope some one can share with me

    Hello,

     

    If you are using MOSS 2007 or WSS3.0, then you can just insert any hyperlink in announcement body when you edit it by clicking “hyperlink button” from format toolbar.

     

    If you are using sharepoint portal server 2003 or WSS 2.0, then you can take reference from the following KB article:

     

    How to add the Insert hyperlink button to the Format toolbar of an announcement in a SharePoint Portal Server Announcement page by using FrontPage 2003:

    Today when i try to copy the link and paste at the announment text box and when user click on the link , the PDF file opne immediatey.
    So i don't need to add link , just copy the link and paste it work fine now.

    Yes, it play the same function as  the code <a href="http://{your url}">{your link text}</a>  and I’m glad to see your problem solved.

    Hello,

     

    As you are consulting the second plan, so I assume you are using SharePoint portal server 2003 or WSS 2.0.

    Sorry for I have no these two environments, but according to my knowledge, SharePoint designer is compatible to FrontPage since it can be considered as an advanced version of FrontPage. So you can try the same way in SharePoint designer.

     

    If it does not work and you are using WSS2.0, then you can try to use Content Editor Web Part, which can work to replace Announcement. It can functioned same as an Announcement web part with hyperlink inserting enabled. Please take reference from the following link about Content Editor Web Part:
