40 Fab Templates migration to SharePoint 2013

    Question

  • Hello All,

    While upgrading the GUI to SharePoint 2013 I'm facing an error message saying missing site template. After analysis I reached to a point that sites that were created using FAB 40 template are causing the issue and ultimately failing the UI to be upgraded. Just to clarify the FAB 40 sites that were migrated are working fine on SP 2007, SP 2010 (with SP 2007 GUI) and 2013 (with SP 2007 GUI).

  • I don't think you can migrate Fab 40 templates like this. You need to install the wsp of fab 40 templates using Powershell, with CompatibilityLevel as 15. Then try to migrate site collections.

    Install-SPSolution -Identity "WebpartSolution.wsp" -GACDeployment -force -CompatibilityLevel {14,15}

  • Hi,

    I have Migrated MOSS 2007 165 Site Collections to the SharePoint 2010 Already Existing Web Application. The Site Collections are working fine without any issues in SharePoint 2010.

    I have Migrated the SharePoint 2010 web application to SharePoint 2013. While upgrading the 165 MOSS 2007 Site collections SharePoint 2013(15 Hive), it is throwing an error:

    Missing Site Template

    http://Sitename/siteCollections #0

    For 165 Site Collections I am Getting the Same Missing Template Error.

    I Am running out of my dead lines, I am struck at the Templates. I am able to migrate all other Site Collections to the SharePoint 2013 and all they are Upgraded Successfully.

    Can Some one help on this on top priority please .

    Thanks And Regards
