I'm trying to install a SharePoint 2013 RTM stand-alone server on a Windows 2012 Server machine. This is a "plain vanilla" OS with the Application Server and Web Server roles installed. I've installed the SharePoint 2013 pre-requisites successfully. However, after I run the "Install SharePoint Server" option on the splash screen, enter my license key, and accept the license terms, I see a window that asks me to confirm the default file locations. I'm expecting to see a window that lets me choose to install a stand-alone server or a farm. I downloaded the RTM software from my technet list of software and used the RTM license key. Why don't I see the option to install a stand-alone server? How can I get this type of server installed?
Anyway you can try automating the setup: this two links could be usefull:
As per documentation you have to set the server role to SINGLESERVER
The configuration/wizard menu options to choose Stand Alone or Farm (Complete) is removed. By default it gets installed as Farm (ServerRole set to APPLICATION). You can verify this by navigating to registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Web Server Extensions\15.0\WSS"
There will be an entry for "ServerRole" which will tell you the installation type
Farm Complete – APPLICATION
I have verified the above server role in my Stand Alone SharePoint 2013 Development machine.
If you are still looking for Stand Alone server, which is single server installation you can go through the below links
