Use the column Name in SharePoint document library filtered views

    Question

  • I am sorry - my question was not correct in the first place (I had done several tests including views and calculated columns and it seems I used the wrong description). Here is the update:

    Hi there,

I am working with MOSS 2007 and a document library. I would like to create a custom calculated column. When creating the column, I do not see the Name column in the list with available columns I can use to calculate on. The [Name] syntax is not accepted by MOSS, either.
Can somebody propose a workaround for using this column?
Is it possible to use the Name column in custom calculated columns?

    Thank you in advance!

Answers

  • Hi

Have you do any customization to the document library?
You can try to perform the same operation on another document library.
If it works, you can switch to it and create a view with filter you want.
Let me know the results. Thanks

    Best Regards!
