SharePoint list - set Boolean column based on other column fields

  • Hi,

    I have a custom list with the following columns:

    ColA - Person or Group

    ColB - Person or Group

    ColC - Person or Group

    ColD - Yes/No

    I have a requirement to set ColD to 'Yes' IF all the three columns ColA, ColB, ColC are populated. How can I do this without any custom code? I've tried the Calculated column type, but it does not take a Person or Group type column for calculation. What is the best way to do this?

    You could create a small SharePoint Designer workflow.
    That workflow has to check if the 3 columns are not empty, then check the field as an action.

  • Sharepoint doesn't support using Person or Group column in formula. you have to write custom field type or event reciever to update the column value. There are few workaround without writing code below are the links:
