Expression Encoder Object Model in Sharepoint 2010

  • Hi All,

           I want to use the Expression Encoder Object in a Sharepoint Event receiver. Is it possible to do this??? Can any1 help me out. Thank you.

  • Yes you can as long as you own a license for Expression Encoder you can reference the dlls.  Here is a getting started link: http://blogs.msdn.com/expressionencoder/archive/2008/04/22/8418128.aspx .  Let me know if you have further questions.  You need Expression Encoder installed on the server you deploy this code too.  If you have further questions let me know.

  • Thanks a lots for your answer...I just need to kno how to pass the path of the Video uploaded in the Asset library as a path to the MediaItem Object since we cannot pass the URL as a parameter to MediaItem.
