Reporting Services - Report Builder (401) Unauthorized

    General discussion

  • The person next to me is able to log on and use Report Builder without any error message.  I am able to log into reporting services but when I click on the Report Builder I receive this error message.  Can someone please provide insight...

  • This seems to be a server configuration issue. The following link describes the solution of an issue similar to yours.

  • Not sure whether you resolved this or not but I had a simialr issues...

This was due to a POORLY configed proxy server and pass-thru authenticate combined with the user selecting "Save password" when signing onto SSRS.

To work round the issues access the Report Builder "click-once" app directly http://SERVERNAME/reportserver/reportbuilder/reportbuilder.application

the full solution (if poss) is to clear down ALL IE data (inc password).
