How to create a group in Report Builder which value will be listed in a header for each section but not in the column

  • Hi to all!
    I use SQL Reporting Services, Report Builder.
    Simply speaking I would like to create the following report:

    This is going to be pretty simple solution. Please follow following instructions.

    • You need to have a Row Group in your report. You can add row group as follows.

     

    • Add Parent Group to your details. In your scenario you will be group on Column 0.
    • While adding make sure you check on Add Group Header
    • Reformat your report as per requirements.

    You are done.

  • Hi,

    Please follow these steps:

    1. Create Group on Group Element Field.
    2. Right Click on textbox of column 2 i.e. Name Field Column -> Add Row -> Outside Group above.
    3. This will add one row above and will repeat for each group.
    4. Select all columns / fields in above added row -> Right click -> Merge Cells

    But it still returns name of group above each of the records..
