restore database is terminating abnormally

    Question

  • Do anybody knows how to deal with an sql database restoration error, because upon using restore database on my sql server i encountered an error:

    "restore failed for server'server\sqlexpress'. (microsoft.sqlserver.express.smo)

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

    system.data.sqlclient.sqlerror:restore database is terminating abnormally.

    (microsoft.sqlserver.express.smo)

    thanks...

  • Like Balmukund mentioned, check the SQL Server Error Logs to find out why the restore failed.
