Announcement about Online Labs

    General discussion

  • Raman Iyer's announcement (at the top of this forum) about "Live at BI Labs: SQL Server Data Mining for the Cloud" should be removed because that service is not online anymore.

However, as of today (May 16, 2013) anyone can try out the SQL Server Labs: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/sqlserver/learning-center/virtual-labs.aspx  -- none of them have SSAS Multidimensional loaded, and therefore no data mining, but the labs available highlight new features in SQL Server 2012 (all of which can and should be considered for use with data mining in enterprise solutions).

  • Hi Mark,

Virtual Labs enable you to quickly evaluate and test Microsoft's newest products and technologies through a series of guided, hands-on labs that you can complete in 90 minutes or less.

The virtual labs mainly introduce the new features of SQL Server 2012, therefore, the Data Mining lab is not available.
