I have a TFS SP1 machine running SQL 2005 SP2 and am receiving a "TF30042: The database is full. Contact your Team Foundation Server administrator." error when I attempt to commit changes. The TFS and SQL installations are on the boot partition (Window Server 2003 R2) and the database, including log files, is on another partition of the same server. The database partition shows 35 GB used and 35 GB free (70 GB total). I know I have room on the drive, do you know what may be causing the error?
I have the exact same problem but with SQL 2008 server. We moved out database from SQL 2005 Express to SQL 2008 and have been having the error "TF30042: The database is full. Contact your Team Foundation Server administrator."
I think the problem may have something to do with the fact it was on SQL Expresss and was moved to a production server and some setting or registry settings restricting growth were not removed.
