Remote computer "sees" file stored on server which is an ACT database, but responds "The SQL database instance is unavailable" when attempting to open it. Checking "Services" under "Adminstrative" shows the SQL (ACT7) to be enabled and started. However, SQL Server agent (ACT7) reports "Service on local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs" Can anyone help resolve this?
This Agent error is typically the result of the Agent service not having access to the log drive to write the SQLAGENT.OUT log file. Can you take a look at this thread with assistance?
