System Center Service Manager 2010

    Frage

  • Hi All

I installed SCSM 2010 along with the self service portal (SSP) on the same server (windows server 2008 R2 - SQL server 2008 R2) using an account SvcMgrService, it an administrator at that server and it is the identity of the application pool used to run SSP and also has permissions over all the databases related to SCSM. The consol is working fine and I have registered the data warehouse server. When I explore the default page of the end user of SSP I got the errer:

"The database is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later"

    Any idea?

  • Hi !

1.) Please check the OpsManager Eventlog and provide more details if there are any errors within.
2.) Did the SSP-install-wizard go through well ?
3.) Reset the Internet Explorer Security Settings on the SCSM/SSP Server and try again with localhost instead servername.
    4.) Are you in a multi-domain environement  (abc.local and cde.local) ?

  • Hi,

Have you used the service account to log-on to the server of which the SSP is installed on? It's enough to log-in once so the user profile is created.

  • Hi Roman.

Sorry being late to respond. as for yr questions:

1.) Please check the OpsManager Eventlog and provide more details if there are any errors within.
"OpsManager" I have no operation manager installed.

2.) Did the SSP-install-wizard go through well ?
    Yes it went well

3.) Reset the Internet Explorer Security Settings on the SCSM/SSP Server and try again with localhost instead servername.
Security level is "Low" for local intranet and I'm using localhost

    4.) Are you in a multi-domain environement  (abc.local and cde.local) ?

    No

    Thank you

"OpsManager" I have no operation manager installed.

You should have a Operations Manager event log on that server anyway (Service Manager use that event log).
