SCOM Reporting Error - rsItemNotFound -

    Question

  • Hi Guys ,

I have been digging around every post since weeks for this problem , I have 1 RMS Server ( 2008 R2 ) with Scom 2007 R2 installed on it and a remote SQL 2008 SP3 database with DW and SRS on it . ( all SP3 )

The reports are not updated to SRS , it still showing the " Data Warehouse Main" folder but nothing related to Reports from MP .

I have created a folder directly from the http://SQLSERVER/Reports/Pages/Folder.aspx and manually added a report and its showing to SCOM Console ...

Both SRS pages http://SQLSERVER/Reports and /ReportServer are ok

from SRS Logs I still get this error " library!ReportServer_0-4!394!02/22/2012-09:24:10:: e ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.ItemNotFoundException: The item '/Microsoft.SystemCenter.DataWarehouse.Report.Library/Microsoft.SystemCenter.DataWarehouse.Report.Alert' cannot be found., ;"

No error in Events viewer on both box .

Have an idea for me ?

    Thanks a lot

PS : Updated with CU5 yesterday without luck

  • Great Nabil,

31554 indicating data is stored sucessfully in the Data Warehouse.

it is now a mattar of time and you will see the Reports in the SCOM Reporting space (if there is no errors related to Reports Deployment)

regarding the IIS,, SCOM reports will appear under http://reporting_server/Reports

    Hope this helps! :)

  • Hello,

    1. On the RMS Operations Manager eventlog do you see any error starting with 315xx.
    2. In the Administration space | Run As Account | The Data Warehouse Deployment Run As account, did you give it data writer privileges on the OpsDW database.

    Regards,

    Mazen

  • Hi Nabil,

Can you restart the following RMS services (System Center Data Access & System Center Management Configuration), then monitor the Operations Manager log for the 315xx Events, or you should get Reports Successfully Deployed event 31570 as far as I remember..

    Regards,

    Mazen

    What do you see?

    • Do you see any any error in the Operations Manager eventlog on the RMS?

    is it enabed or disabled?!

    Wednesday, February 22, 2012 6:46 PM
  • It seems yes :)

  • Would you check the results of this query against OperationsManager database:

    select * from MT_DataWarehouse

and the information from this registry key in the RMS:

    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Operations Manager\3.0\Reporting

    Does this represent correct information?

Is it the SQL Server hosting your current OperationsManagerDW?

Would you please provide some info about your SCOM implementation, servers, versions, OS, so on..

  • Hi Mazen ,

I followed the guides , I have event ID : 31572 ( Data writer successfully performed data maintenance operations.

One or more workflows were affected by this.

    Workflow name: Microsoft.SystemCenter.DataWarehouse.Synchronization.MonitorInitialState

    31554 , 31572 ...

But still no reports , no new folder in SRS webpage .

Should I have a dedicated Website in IIS ?
