SCCM 2007 Software Update

Answers

  • Judging by your deployment title you're trying to patch 2008 Servers? RAP and the software update notification won't appear on 2008 servers unless you're logged into the console session. Run the command 'query user' verify you're the only user logged on to guarantee you have the console session.

If this doesn't help then ensure your update package is available in a DP within your client boundaries.

Also, you explicitly state in your OP that you want to install updates manually. Why have you specified the 'download software updates from distribution point and install' setting for fast(LAN)?

  • A notification will only appear if you actually have notifications enabled on your client agent settings. You can always just open the RAP yourself from the control panel to install updates also.

  • Have you check the updates are downloaded in cache folder?

Have you enable notification for this deployment?
