  • The installation files reside in a local directory.  The machine is a VMWare Workstation virtual machine running Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition Service Pack 2, and currently functions as the domain controller and SQL server for this test environment.  The firewall is currently (and has been) disabled.  As a side note, an identical configuration (same hardware, OS, secondary software) has been used previously to evaluate non-SP1 SCCM, with no installation issues.

  • I'm having this exact problem, was a solution ever found?
The excerpt posted below was repeated many times, each roughly 30 seconds apart.

  • Error 53 is "The network path was not found". I'm not sure why this is happening while setup.exe is running as a network object from the source in the first place. A solution is to copy the build locally and install from there.

Can you provide some details about your network and machine configuration? Is the sms provider being installed locally or on remote machine? Is the firewall running on the local machine and the remote provider machine (if applicable). If so, are the firewall(s) configured correctly.

Is TAMU-635CFF7816 the server where you're trying to install ConfigMgr on? Does that share exist and is it accessible?
