  • Hi,

Can you please confirm that issue is resolved. Also you may try from another XP SP3 machine. Please make sure that all updated are installed on the machine.

    Thanks,

  • Hi,

Please ensure that  "Virtual Machine Manager Self-Service Portal 2.0"  Service Account is Administrator on the hosts where the Virtual Machines are placed.

    Thanks,

  • Hi,

That looks to have stopped the event ID 1603's from occurring but I still cannot connect to any of the virtual machines.

Client is Windows XP SP3 with IE8 logged in as a local admin I get the following warning in IE:

    Webpage error details

    User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; InfoPath.1; MS-RTC EA 2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.648; .NET CLR 3.5.21022; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
    Timestamp: Wed, 10 Aug 2011 17:32:32 UTC

Message: Value does not fall within the expected range.
    Line: 23
    Char: 3
    Code: 0
    URI: http://comwdcssp/VirtualMachines/Launch.aspx?ID=4&rdp=false

I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, lowered the "Local Intranet" security level to low but still not working.

Connecting via RDP works fine, only connecting via the console fails. also happens the same for my colleague on his PC.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi,

Please uninstall the existing client(Virtual Machine Manager Self-Service Portal 2.0 SP1 Cleint) on XP SP3 machine from "Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features" and try connecting the Virtual Machine again. Connecting the VM will install the client again. Once Client is installed , refresh the connect Page. This should resolve yopur issue.

    Thanks,

    Santosh

  • Make sure you have .net 2 or higher

You can run the below fix on XP machine and test again

  • Hi,

    Thanks for the responses.

I ran the fix for credssp and reinstalled the client (had to be installed as a local admin on our locked down desktops).

However, I am still unable to connect... now I get the message:

    ---------------------------
    Remote Desktop Connection

An authentication error has occurred (Code: 0xc00002fd).

    Remote computer: HYPER04.domain.local

    Any ideas?
