One user logs on to multiple VM's in a RD pool

    Question

  • We have a lab of computers in a RD pool.  the idea is that one user (student) will conect to a VM in the pool as they are needed.

This generic student has one set of credentials. So we need all our Pool VM to allow the same user to logon without kicking of

another student who logged on with the same credentials. is this possible?

  • That is essentially what Terminal Services (Remote Desktop Session Host) does.

This is not supported in a VDI scenario becuse the Windows Client OS (XP, Win7, etc.) does not support this.

The other option is the multi-user thing built specific for students (cannot recall the name of it right now), but it is not supported in a VM - AFAIK
