SCCM 2012 RC - OSD - Failed to Run Task Sequence (0x80070057)

    Question

  • Hi there

My SCCM 2012 testconfiguration: CAS and a Primary Site with two Management Points. Site is in Mixed mode. All computers are in the same subnet. Boundaries are set (address range).

I try to deploy a Windows 7 using an Operating System Installer package to an unknown client.

The smsts.log on the client tells me, that it fails to query the MP for MP Location (error code of the TS Wizard is 0x80070057):

    • Network connectivity is good
    • IIS is reachable
    • Firewall is disabled
    • Content (TS, Boot image, OS Installer) is published

    Did I miss something?

I'm grateful for any help and ideas, thank you.
