Install System Center Service Manager 2012 on SQL Server 2012

    Question

  • Today, I try to install SCSM 2012 on SQL Server 2012, but appear an error saying the SQL Server isn't 2008 SP2 or 2008 R2.

How should I proceed? Bring back an SQL Server 2008 instance?

    Thanks for advance

  • I have a vague memory of being able to bypass some of the pre-req checks if you install using the command prompt instead. You could try that. Just bear in mind that it won't be a supported configuration even if you get it to work, just as Andreas wrote.

  • Does anyone know when there will be official support for SQL 2012?

Somewhat restraining to have to choose an older version of SQL server for a new Microsoft product.

  •  I think we have to wait for a CU for SQL or SP for the System Center suite. None of the products in the family can be installed with SQL 2012 yet. (At least in a supported way)

  • You need to update SCSM 2012 to SCSM 2012 SP1.

    Hope this helps.
