FEP 2010 client needs to download updates, but has no internet access
-
2 พฤษภาคม 2555 18:27I have installed FEP 2010 manually to 2 of our servers and before they will begin scanning they have to update the definitions. Is there a way to do this without an internet connection. Right now neither of them have internet and they probably won't get access to it. Also our SCCM server couldn't install FEP on them, I had to do it manually, but they can ping each other. The 2 servers in question are in our DMZ. Is there a file that I can download to them that will take care of the update and allow them to begin scanning?

Hi,
You can download the Definition Update files here:http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Definitions/HowToForefront.aspx and install the update manually.

Jorgen,
Thanks for the answer, I will try it out on Friday when I'm back in the office again and let you know how it goes.

Hi Mike,
You can download updates manually for all Microsoft security products at this page:
http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Definitions/ADL.aspx
Hope this helps.
Have a good day,
