9 พฤศจิกายน 2551 20:40NetSecurity, this is not a Windows' forefront issue.
Macintosh has its own firewall that is automated, and not accessible to the user. You can always download a separate program, that has a emulated firewall. Norton's Firewall might have a Macintosh Version.
In advance, do not just post something that you know very well is completely irrelevant to a Microsoft forum.

Hi Schattenkopie,
for some clarification:
The ISA Server Firewall Cclient is not a Personal Firewall like MAC and Windows have.

No FWC for Mac and none planned. Mac clients work just fine as web proxy though.

Mohit, was wondering why none planned ? for example Microsoft has already software for Mac, such as office & MSN Messenger. -

My guess would be because the Firewall client will not benefit you with MAC clients. You will not be able to control (exe)Apps.
Check these images : image1, image2
Mohit may have other detailed info :)

Tarek

There are proxy clients for Mac OS X that can work with ISA Server. In no particular order...
Proxifier - http://www.proxifier.com/
Proxifier is a program that allows network applications that do not support working through proxy servers to operate through an HTTPS or SOCKS proxy or a chain of proxy servers. There are many network applications that do not support working through proxy servers and thus cannot be used behind a LAN or firewall(s). These can compromise corporate privacy and lead you to many other restrictions. Proxifier solves all of these problems and gives you the opportunity to work with your favorite software without any restrictions. Additionally, it lets you gain extra control over network security, create a proxy tunnel and add more power to network functionality.
MacProxy- http://www.tidalpool.ca/macproxy/
MacProxy provides system-wide network proxy support for the Mac, including for applications without proxy support. Avoid proxy setup for each application, just enable MacProxy and your Mac's network connections are forwarded to a proxy. MacProxy allows you to surf the internet from behind a LAN/firewall, easily tether your Mac to a SmartPhone/iPhone (requires a proxy server on your mobile device, such as Tether), and navigate the internet securely and anonymously. MacProxy provides a simple and intuitive user interface via a menulet control and a System Preference pane. Easily enable/disable the proxy and quickly switch between multiple proxy servers.
· redirect almost all of your Mac's network traffic to any compatible SOCKS proxy server
· works with browsers (Safari, Firefox), email (Mail), chat (iChat), FTP, telnet, and many more network applications
· enable/disable and switch the active proxy conveniently from a menulet
· create one or more proxy server entries
· track session statistics including the number of active connections, data sent, and data received
· DNS resolution through the proxy server
· secure browsing by hiding your IP address
· support for SOCKS proxy protocol versions 4, 4a, and 5 with userid and username/password authentication
· logging support
ProxyCap - http://www.proxycap.com/
ProxyCap enables you to redirect applications through a SOCKS or HTTP proxy server. You can tell ProxyCap which applications will connect to the Internet through a proxy and under what circumstances. This is done through a user friendly interface, without the need to reconfigure any of your Internet clients. ProxyCap provides flexible rule system and allows you to define your own routing rules. You can add a new rule with just a few mouse clicks.
