Windows 7 and Server 2008 Support for SCCM 2007 SP2 - KB2489044

I'm unable to add KB2489044 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2489044) to my test SCCM environment because the update errors saying Cannot connect to database server: <correct server listed> database name: <correct database name>.
I'm attempting the install, running as admin, on my primary site server when this error shows up. I can see the connection is successfully made to the SQL server in the SQL server security event log using my primary site's system account, I've taken down firewalls on the SQL and primary site servers, and gave my primary site system max permissions on the DB and admin rights on the SQL server. The msi log doesn't contain any more information on the issue either, any suggestions or insights are appreciated.

21 กันยายน 2554 21:32 I ended up running the patch under a different domain admin account and it completed successfully.

9 ตุลาคม 2554 5:43When installing KB2489044, the MSI will try to connect to site database. The user should have the permission(s) to connect to database and insert/update data in the table mentioned in the update.sql.
