Unanswered HTLookupString generated in Sharepoint Designer workflow code

    Hello,

I migrated a workflow from a farm to another. Since they have different languages,  I migrated the workflow using this method :

    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepoint2010customization/thread/a1e21dd0-8211-420a-87bd-b18f93c077ca

I have an annoying problem : For all actions where Current task  parameters are involved (for example Current Task : Result), the code is replaced by "HTLookupString". I change all the occurrences of that HTLookupString to the correct code, but when I publish then the HTLookupString gets back. It is annoying because the workflow has a hundred of lines of actions and thus is time consuming to re-write and test.

I work with SP designer in French; initial workflow is in French and migrated workflow in English. Task form fields and rules were lost and regenerated by hand.

Anyone has a clue in which direction I should look to avoid this ?

    Thanks

    Hello Mihnea,
You may check the pattern how the correct lookup to Current Task should be in workflow .xoml file. Then you can develop code to replace in-correct lookup with right lookup in .xoml files for workflows in the site/web/farm.
After that you may still need to use SharePoint Designer to republish workflows.

If you needs further assistance, please consider to open a support ticket with Microsoft

The option you will need under this would be the Advisory services option, you also have the option of finding a Microsoft Gold Partner to work on this for you.

However, other members of the community may still have encountered the issue you're seeing, and have a solution to offer!
