SCSM 2012 RTM Self Service Portal Enum List with Child

The SCSM 2012 RTM Self Service Portal request offerings do not correctly display enumeration lists with children. It just gives a flat list. We have classification categories 2 or 3 levels deep, so a flat list is very confusing.
I Need help with the problem, because for implementation the product on client is necessary, enum list with child on Self-Portal.
Help me please!Example Enumeration list:

Type1
- cat1
-
cat2
- subcat1
- subcat2
-
type2
- cat1
-
cat2
- subcat1
- subcat2
In the portal request offering, it is displayed as:
- Type1
- cat1
- cat2
- subcat1
- subcat2
- type2
- cat1
- cat2
- subcat1
Has this been identified as bug?
Has anyone found a workaround?

I am also interested in this, the layout in SCSM 2010 was barable however the layout in 2012 is terrible.
If we could have this displayed as an Enumeration list with child objects as they are in the console it would allow us to add many extra categorys to our portal and make automation of job placement to the correct team much more automated.

Hi,
This is a known issue and the product team/engineers are looking into solving this for a later release.
The workaround for now is to put spaces in front of the display names to give the illusion of hierarchy. Yes, this is not a “fancy” workaround, but it works. J
