    Hi All,

We have over 50 Dell Vostro desktops. I installed Win 7 Pro on one of these and after installing office, roxio, vpn client and few other basic softwares, I started the sysprep (I terminated the windows media player network service that seems to have a conflict with sysprep). When the system restarts it displays a message "setup is installing devices"and this remains at 62% forever. any clues as to why this is happening?

    thanks

Thanks, but none of the things in the article helped me out. However, just wanted to ask what if I run the sysprep without generalize (coz basically all desktops have same hardware - they are the same model). So, does it make a difference to select generalize or not, and moreover what if I don't run the Audit mode and directly run the OOBE. I understand that the temporary account will stay but is there anything else also.

get sysprep working in audit mode. once thats done you can sysprep /oobe /generalize then capture the image.
