I have a domain controller configured in windows 2003 server. I've around 90 users under this domain. Now, I want to migrate 2003 to 2008 server which will be configured as primary domain controller and also i want to shift all the Roles from 2003 to 2008 .I would like to do this without disrupting the service & network of existing domain controller. I mean to say that user will not be interrupted and same network, users, files & services will remain.
I want to know how to shift the domain controller from 2003 to 2008 server without any interruption.
I hope you will understand. Please help me.Reg,
Sandy

You can install a new Domain controller in your existing AD domain as an additional Domain Controller. Make sure to “prepare” the existing domain before you install your first Windows 2008 DC.
Here is the procedure:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc725611(WS.10).aspx
After the DCPROMO you can transfer the FSMO roles to new DC.
