  It really depends on what kind of job you are running, what kind of task is stuck on running?

  Which kind of task are you running? How often did you set it?

  Are there any error message?

  Please check the scheduled tasks and provide us with more details.

  It's a task using ntbackup to tape, i could not find any error message on the logs.

  Logs just show like this:

  "Backup Access To Tape Friday.job" (ntbackup.exe)
      Started 6/1/2012 12:00:00 AM

  and normally i will just eject the tape, even though the tasks scheduler still shows "running"

  if i cancel it:

  "Backup Access To Tape Friday.job" (ntbackup.exe) 6/5/2012 9:09:48 AM ** WARNING **
      The task was terminated. This action was initiated either by an administrator or by the Task Scheduler service (because, for example, the computer is now non idle).
  

  I had tried to run it from Friday to Monday, task scheduler always shows "running".

  But other jobs not a tape backup works fine.

  any ideas?

  hi guys, sorry for the late update. But for whatever reason, I installed some windows update and it seems to be working fine now.
