Need help with formula

1980 1I need a formula that will give me the total of column B if column A = 1962, and then a formula that gives me the total of column B if Column A does not = 1962

The first one:
=SUMIF(A1:A1000,1962,B1:B1000)
The second one:
=SUMIF(A1:A1000,"<>1962",B1:B1000)
Adjust the ranges as needed.
