My infosec department has reared its ugly head again and is wanting documentation that the Lync edge access points are secure.
For the proxy server, we are using Microsfot TMG and i have found this link attesting to its secure features.

Has Lync Edge receied any similar certifications? Thanks!
Tom

This blog post:

And the Lync security guide:
www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=1400504e-8b2e-4d75-b091-1bf9f7bbc46f
are probably the best place to start

Hi Tom,
Maybe you’re worry about denial-of-service (DoS) and brute-force attacks. To help prevent your organization from such attacks at the network perimeter, the security filter for the Microsoft Lync Server 2010, Edge Server monitors sign-in attempts and enforces account lockout at the network perimeter. A security filter update is now available for Lync Server 2010. For details, see this article.
In addition, here’re another two articles (Security at the Edge & Lync Edge Server Security) for reference. Hope helps.

Tom, Noya, very good information, thanks!!!
... but...
Has any third party accredited the Lync Edge server as a secure device? Similar to the link I provided in the original question, we see that the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) certified TMG.
