I have Outlook 2010 setup so that I can preview an email on the lower half of my screen (without having to actually open the email itself.
There are times when I want o copy some of the text in the email but I cannot select the text to copy unless I actually open the email then highlight the test and copy it.
Is there a way to accomplish this from the preview screen?

Strange. I have no problem selecting and copying text in the preview pane. If you activate the pane and press Ctrl+A, does that work?

I just installed Office 2010 on my computer this morning. I could copy text in the preview pane and paste Word or another email, but the text would hyperlink to my email. THANK GOODNESS I stumbled across this because the Ctrl+A worked for my issue.
Thank You very much Stefan… now I can get back to work!! =)

I'm glad I could help, but I'm not sure how I helped. If the content of an e-mail contains linked items, such as pictures, these links may be carried through as you paste the content into (say) a Word document, of course. You could work around that by pasting in plain text format.
