Office 2010 rejects product key

Whats interesting is on the licensing site it states the MAK key as Office Standard, though I purchased and downloaded Pro Plus. I want to get this one to activate before I mess with KMS as I believe you need a minimum of 5 for kms to work right?

Is this from the VLSC website? You might need to talk to the site's owner to figure out why yo'ure getting Standard instead of ProPlus.
Yes, you're right... you need at least five Office clients to activate with a KMS host before they activate.
Could you please paste the output of the below?
Open an elevated command prompt
a. The path below is the default install path, so it may be different if you've customized your install
b. If you’re using 32b Office on a 64b OS, you may need to run it from the “Program Files (x86)” folder
c. Start, search for ‘cmd’, right click on the command prompt window and select “Run as administrator”
d. cscript "%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office14\ospp.vbs" /dstatusall
