Unable to save word documents directly to the libraries on SharePoint 2010

I setup SharePoint 201 environment for a client that includes two WFE and two App servers and the two WFE uses WNLB. Users were able to open word documents in libraries using the Microsoft Word and save the changes directly to the libraries. But now it always prompts the document save dialog box and ask to save the document locally. That means users won't be able to save documents directly to libraries in Microsoft Word.
The strange thing is that it works on Windows XP machines (where it is Word 2003 or 2007), but it doesn't work on Windows Vista and 7 machines (whether it is Word 2007 or 2010).
And it was working before. Office Web App is not used in this environment.
In the past when SharePoint 2007 was in production, a similar issue occured, and it turned out to be the WebClient windows service was not running. But this time, I made sure the WebClient is running on all machines.

16 Temmuz 2012 Pazartesi 20:18Yes, the alternate access mapping is in place. But I don't know what it has anything to do with loop back. If i understand it correctly, the loop back issue is when browsing the SharePoint on the windows 2008 servers. Windows 7 or other workstations shouldn't have the loop back problem.

Found the problem. It was caused by OPTIONS and PROPFIND verbs under Request Filtering/HTTP verbs on IIS. Once the two verbs are removed from IIS, it starts working again.
