"Service Manager Incident Management Configuration Library" unsealed MP and future SP or CU updates.

Hi all,
If a SCSM SP or CU includes a newer version of the "Service Manager Incident Management Configuration Library" unsealed MP, what happens to the customised data stored within the MP?
I know that when adding items to some lists you're prompted for which MP to store the changes in, however for lists that don't prompt this is a slight concern when thinking about future SP or CU updates.
For example I have added some additional items to the "Incident Tier Queue" list, and these are stored in the "Service Manager Incident Management Configuration Library" unsealed MP. If a new version of this unsealed MP is provided in a future SP or CU, will it overwrite my customisations or merge them as part of the installation process?
I understand I can export/import unsealed MPs however would re-importing the previous version be a good idea if the SP or CU has been applied? or should the List be repopulated again manually?

When the "unsealed config library xml" version increases on upgrades/patches. This will not impact your custmomizations if the version number is older. However, I will recommend saving any customizations you do in your own unsealed MPs. I wrote a blog on MP organization with a customized SCSM environment.
