    Hi,

I’d recommend you to run a check disk on the drive using the “chkdsk /f /r” commands from an elevated command prompt and see if the issue persists.

Refer the following article for instructions:

     Chkdsk

    Follow these methods:
    Method 1:

    Warning

“Chkdsk /r” command erases/fixes any corrupted data on the hard disk drive. Some of your personal files/data may be erased.

     Method 2:

    Follow these steps:

    a.     Boot your computer in advanced recovery options menu.

    b.     Click “Command Prompt.”

    c.     At the command prompt window type the following and hit “Enter.”

    recdisc

    d.     You'll get the popup to choose which drive letter to create the “recovery disc” to.

    e.     Insert a clean DVD in the drive and select “start.”

This should get your system recovery/repair disc created.  .......Take a look at this and see if it helps

    Hi,

I would like to verify if your computer comes from OEM such as Dell or HP? Based on my research, the existence of the Dell/HP Factory Restore partitions interfered with Windows creating repair disks. I wonder if this is your situation.
