I have installed Win7 32-bit on a pc with Vista Ultimate 32-bit and wondered if it is possible to view recorded  tv programs from the 6 hard drives that contain Vista recordings?  I can view the "recorded tv" folders made by Vista and see what is there while in Win7,  but when I try to select any of those hard drives to use as the default drive for recordings so I can then watch the existing recordings a message pops up in Media Center saying something to the effect that "you will lose any recordings on this drive if you proceed".......or something similar LOL.  None of the recordings are copy protected.....mostly just analog TV shows and a few HD basic cable recordings after I installed TV pack in Vista.
If it isn't possible to view the Vista recordings in Win7 will I be able to later on purchase Win7 and run an upgrade install and thus still have access to all my recordings?   I hate to lose  these recordings since I view them thru my X-box on my fairly new 3000 lb analog tv and they look better than on a new wide-screen lcd.

Whoopie!  After posting my question I tried again to select one of the Vista Recorded TV drives and noticed that the default setting for the drive was for less than the total volume and after increasing the available space for recordings and clicking "save" my Win7 Recorded TV program list jumped to 70 and all the recordings are now available for viewing.  Sorry to have posted a question that only required engaging my brain before typing LOL!
