    I have recently installed microsoft hyper v server 8 , but is not interested in it. so I would like to install back windows 7 os . but i cant do so... inspite of trying ! have hyper v server being permanently installed in the laptop and cant I change back to windows 7 ?

    Hi,

    Use Windows 7 installation disk to perform a fresh install. You can format the disk which Windows Server 8 locate.

    If you did not consiously perform a side by side installation then all the warnings and wording on the screen should have warned you that your system was going to be wiped.

    This is the case for any OS installation, not unique to Hyper-V.  It does not install on top of an operating system.  It is not like VMware Workstation.
