  • Hey..

    I am wondering if my 2 weeks old pc has a bad hardware.

    iv had "a clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval" stop code 124.

    my system is.

    Asus p6tse
    intel I7 930 not overclocked.
    HIS ati radeon 5750
    sheaftec 650w psu
    2 x western digital black Hdd

    After downloading the minidump and analyzing in WinDBG, the following information is the BugCheck results:

    WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124)

    A fatal hardware error has occurred. Parameter 1 identifies the type of error

    source that reported the error. Parameter 2 holds the address of the

    WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure that describes the error conditon.

    Arguments:

    Arg1: 0000000000000000, Machine Check Exception

    Arg2: fffffa800894d1f8, Address of the WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure.

    Arg3: 0000000000000000, High order 32-bits of the MCi_STATUS value.

    Arg4: 0000000000000000, Low order 32-bits of the MCi_STATUS value.

     

    This kind of issue is mainly related to hardware itself. You may need to update the BIOS and chipset driver. You can run the Intel® Driver Update Utility to detects the latest updates.

     

    If the issue persists, to solid troubleshoot this kind of issue, I recommend you  contact Microsoft Customer Support Service (CSS) for assistance so that this problem can be resolved efficiently.
