I have created a system in java that fetches the information from a database table I created in MS Access 2010.
I need to configure the MS Access Database so that I can choose the specific database I created.
It does not allow me to do this and says "The setup routines for the Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb, *.accdb) ODBC driver could not be found. Please reinstall the driver."
If I go to System DSN and click on add, the only driver available is MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver. I need to find the Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb), but as mentioned only the one driver appears.
I need to select the database I created after I have found and chosen the Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb) but only that MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver appears, no other ones appear.
What can I do so that I can add the Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb) under System DSN and then choose the database I created?
I have a WINDOWS 7, 64-BIT SYSTEM
Please check the issue with the method in the following KB article:
Unable to create DSN for Microsoft Office System Driver on 64-bit versions of Windows
Hope this helps.
