Control panel firewall settings and netsh results don't match.

    Question

  • In the control panel of the firewall settings my firewall shows up as on. Running a netsh for all profiles shows them all as off. So is the firewall on or off?

  • Hi,

      The firewall is on , but you can run this command and check again.

    Run...  ---> cmd attached:administrator

    Netsh   (Enter)

    Firewall (Enter)

    On    (Enter)

    To check :

    Show mode ( Enter )

  • Hi,

    There is no difference. If GUI shows it is on. The firewall should be on. Netsh is the same.
