I don't know if i have a virus or not, I unstalled my AVG software and installed Microsoft Security Essentials and still can't turn on defender. Any help would be appreciated.
1. You must not have both AVG and MSE ( Microsoft Security Essentials ) installed in the same computer. They will create conflicts and actually reduce the effectiveness of protecting the computer.
Pick one and uninstall the other.
2. Both AVG and MSE are supposed to shuit down Windows ùDefender. It is because they have their own defenders. To have 2 defenders running in the same machine will cause conflicts.
3. You quoted the wrong error code. It should be..... 0x800705b4
If it solves your problem, I did it. If it does not, my twin brother did it.
