Critical Structure Corruption when using Windows 8.1 as a Virtualbox host

    Question

  • I've got Virtualbox 4.3.0 installed on a Windows 8.1 (released version) host and every few minutes the Windows host is crashing with a Critical Structure Corruption error.  The guest OS is 64bit Linux.  I have collected minidumps.

  • I posted to the Virtualbox forums and it looks like Oracle is working on it as others have experienced the same issue.

Would it be possible to post a direct link to the Oracle thread?  I suppose I could just check myself :-p

  • I am getting the exact same problem using Windows 8.1 Host with Windows 8.1 as a Hyper-V Vm.

seems to be a bug in Windows 8.1

  • Oracle fixed it in Virtualbox 4.3.2, so downlaod the new version.
